Today, senior Republican senator Richard Lugar (pictured) called for reassessing the long-term U.S. Cuban Embargo policy. Yes! This policy has not worked, as the longevity of the Cuban regime attests. In retrospect, it has only served to placate a nasty, vocal minority of expat Cubans in Miami and to cause most of the inhabitants of this neighboring island grief. A truly bad idea, then and now. So props to Senator Lugar, ever one to express his independence, for pointing out that fact. The Author called in a previous post for an immediate end to the embargo. Cuba
