Vivaldi Opera Revived 278 Years On

I was intrigued to read today about Czech composer/instrumentalist and rare music sleuth Ondrej Macek's re-creation of the long-lost Opera Argippo by Baroque composer Antonio Vivaldi. This commissioned work had been thought lost forever, until Macek discovered the music for about two-thirds of the opera and re-wrote the rest. And of course once re-written and ready-for-prime-time, the show had to be staged. Nice story, read it here. And check out this vid of the artists rehearsing for the recent contemporary debut.
